I am offering a discounted rate to keep them together. They could also go as a family package with her wethered buckling.

Ebony is a great milker, giving us about a liter a day. She has a beautiful udder and nice overall conformation. She would be a nice addition to any herd for either a breeding program or as a family milk goat. The only reason I’m letting them go is because we have many related goats and I’m trying to keep my herd at a manageable size. Ebony is a healthy three year old, kids with ease and is a very attentive mama. She’s up to date on vaccinations.

Kidding history:

First freshening (2022) - twin bucklings, milked 1.5 lbs on a 12 hour hold at 8 weeks fresh

Second freshening (2023) - triplets, two does and a buck, milked 1.7 lbs on a ten hour hold at six weeks fresh

Third freshening (2024) - twins, a doeling and a buckling, milking stats TBD

Her doeling (registration pending) is showing promise in conformation with a long neck, long and level topline, strong brisket, strong feet and legs, and nice width. She is very well socialized and super friendly. She is disbudded, on coccidia prevention, and can be vaccinated upon request before leaving. If registered, she will be tattooed.

Her sire, Mossy Rock PA Forest *S comes from such an impressive and very milky lineage and I’m very excited about the potential of these kids that his genetics bring. His dam, Revel, is a stunning doe who milked 5.25 lbs on her one day milk test as a second freshener, easily earning her milk star. As a third freshener, she classified VG88 (Rump - 91, Dairy strength - 88, Feet and Legs - 87, Mammary - 87) and won first place yearling milker and best udder of breed in the Chilliwack Fair goat show (2020).

His breeder says his sire, Asher, has proven to make exceptional improvements in his daughters, improving teat size and placement, medial, fore udder, overall attachments, udder texture, milk volume and topline. In his 2022 classification, Asher scored VG86 (Rump - 93 Dairy Strength - 88 Feet and Legs - 93). Asher measured over-height at the withers (he's extremely uphill) which docks 5 points off the final score - he would otherwise have scored EX91! Asher also has his +S designation meaning he has sired at least five *M daughters out of at least three different does and all his sons out of *M does get their *S including Forest.

Forest is a repeat breeding to the one that produced one of his breeder’s favourite does, Mossy Rock PA Carnival 2*M. Carnival was awarded SELECT DOE status this year, classifying VG89 (Rump -90 Dairy strength - 88 Feet and Legs - 89 Mammary - 89) as a 2 year old second freshener, which is the highest possible score for her age, with her 89 in mammary also being the highest possible score for a 2 year old. She easily earned her milk star as a 2 year old as well.
